This is your chance to step into a pivotal role within a well-established practice that prides itself on delivering exceptional care, fostering professional growth, and maintaining a positive, collaborative team culture.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a confident, capable RVN with strong clinical knowledge and a natural ability to lead, coach, and inspire others. Whether you’ve led teams before or are ready to take the next step into leadership, this role offers support and scope to grow as a clinical and people leader.

You’ll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day nursing operations, supporting the wider clinical team, and driving excellence in patient care and client service. With a strong and supportive leadership team around you, you’ll have everything you need to succeed in the role.

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified, RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse

  • Proven clinical experience, ideally in a busy first-opinion practice

  • A natural communicator with a positive, team-focused mindset

  • Confident in mentoring, supervising, and motivating nursing teams

  • Enthusiastic about developing others and nurturing a strong team dynamic

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the nursing and support team in daily operations

  • Supporting ongoing training and development for RVNs, SVNs, and VCAs

  • Ensuring high standards of patient care are delivered consistently

  • Collaborating closely with the clinical and leadership team on best practices

  • Driving continuous improvement in nursing protocols and workflow

Working Pattern

This is a full-time position, worked over 4 days per week with 1 in 4 weekends. Shifts are 8–9 hours long, giving you a great work-life balance and time to enjoy life outside of practice.

Why Join This Practice?

This is a modern, purpose-built surgery with state-of-the-art facilities, offering a welcoming and forward-thinking environment. The practice team is clinically driven, client-focused, and passionate about what they do. Several team members are pursuing certificates, and continuous professional development is actively supported at all levels.

You'll be joining a group that’s part of a respected, independent veterinary network known for its commitment to high-quality care, clinical freedom, and genuine investment in its people.

What’s on Offer?

A competitive salary starting from £33,000 (DOE), plus a comprehensive, flexible benefits package designed to support your professional and personal wellbeing. You’ll have access to leadership training, CPD funding, enhanced family leave, wellbeing support, and a range of employee perks.
