A well-established independent farm animal practice in South West Scotland is looking to welcome a Graduate Farm Animal Veterinary Surgeon to their team. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone keen to build confidence quickly in a genuinely supportive, hands-on environment where you’ll be encouraged to get stuck in from day one.
The Role
This is a full-time farm animal position offering a varied and busy caseload across dairy, beef and sheep. There is a strong focus on proactive work and herd health, giving you the chance to develop beyond day-to-day calls and really build relationships with clients early in your career.
Support & Development
You’ll be working closely with an experienced and approachable team with plenty of support around you at all times. This is the kind of environment where you’re guided, not thrown in at the deep end, making it an ideal first role to build both confidence and clinical ability.
Rota
The rota is 1 in 6, moving to 1 in 3 during the spring peak. The team works collaboratively to ensure you’re well supported, particularly during the busier periods.
The Practice
A long-standing independent practice with a strong reputation locally, known for its progressive approach to farm work and close-knit team culture. You’ll be joining a friendly, down-to-earth team where development is genuinely prioritised and your voice is heard.
If you’re looking for a strong start in farm practice with the right balance of support, case exposure and progression, this is well worth a conversation. Get in touch to find out more.
