Veterinary Advisor – Northern Ireland
Lloyd & Cowan Veterinary Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading organisation within the agricultural sector to recruit a highly motivated Veterinary Advisor to join their team based in Northern Ireland.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced large animal vet looking to step into a more strategic, advisory-focused role while still making a tangible impact on farm performance and animal health.
The Role
Working closely with the Veterinary Services Manager, you will play a key role in delivering and expanding farm advisory services across the region. Responsibilities will include:
- Developing advisory services for existing customers not currently utilising veterinary support
- Implementing effective herd health, management, and preventative strategies
- Building strong, trusted relationships with a portfolio of farms to drive measurable improvements
- Providing tailored, evidence-based recommendations to optimise farm outcomes
- Supporting the wider feed and stores network to deliver a comprehensive service offering to farmers
The Candidate
- Degree qualified in Veterinary Medicine/Science and MRCVS registered
- Experience in large animal practice
- Strong clinical reputation with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
- Ability to interpret technical data and provide clear, practical recommendations
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Confident working independently while contributing to a wider team
- Strong presentation skills (experience presenting to farmer groups is desirable)
- Commercially aware with a track record of building client relationships
- Good understanding of the agricultural industry in Northern Ireland
- IT proficient, including Microsoft Office
