Farm Animal Vet – Independent Practice | Northern Ireland
4-Day Week | Vehicle & Accommodation | Potential Equity Share
Lloyd & Cowan is working with a progressive, independently owned mixed practice seeking an experienced Farm Animal Vet to join its friendly team of seven experienced vets. Situated approximately 30 minutes from Belfast and 90 minutes from Dublin, this role offers a strong dairy caseload and scope to develop your herd health interests.
The practice has around 40 farms receiving routine fertility visits, alongside growing demand for calf health schemes and knock-down disbudding.
The Role
- Predominantly dairy work, with a strong focus on herd health and fertility.
- Four-day working week, 8.30am–6pm.
- Saturday mornings, 8.30am–1pm, on a 1-in-5 rota.
- 1-in-5 weekends and farm animal-only out-of-hours rota.
- Part-time hours considered.
Equipment & Support
You’ll have access to several Easi-Scan ultrasound scanners, bull fertility testing equipment, in-house mastitis testing and an IDEXX laboratory. VetIMPRESS, Uniform Agri and InterHerd+ support fertility management and analysis.
