Experienced Small Animal Veterinarian
Full-time or part-time | 1 in 4 Saturdays | No out-of-hours | Visa sponsorship considered
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join a friendly and supportive team in the North East, conveniently located for Sunderland and Newcastle.
The role will primarily be based at a newly refurbished small animal practice in Boldon, with the possibility of some cover at a nearby branch.
The Role
- Varied small animal caseload
- Competent in neutering and lumpectomies in cats, dogs and small furries
- Opportunity to further develop your clinical skills and interests
- Supported by an experienced team of 5 vets and 7 RVNs across both sites
- Modern diagnostic facilities including digital radiography, ultrasonography, dental radiography and in-house laboratory
- Laparoscopy spays now performed in practice
- Emergency care available during opening hours
- Visa sponsorship considered
Working Pattern
- Full-time position, ideally 37.5 hours over 4 days
- 8.30am – 7.00pm
- Part-time options considered
- 1 in 4 Saturdays, 9.00am – 3.00pm
- No out-of-hours work
Benefits Include
- Salary up to £65,000, dependent on experience, based on 37.5 hours per week
- 6.6 weeks' paid holiday including bank holidays
- £1,750 CPD allowance per annum
- RCVS membership paid plus two other membership subscriptions
- VDS cover
