An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Equine Veterinarian to join a well-established, independently owned mixed practice in the Scenic Rim region of South East Queensland. The Opportunity
This position has become available due to a period of maternity leave within the team, creating an excellent opportunity for a skilled equine vet to step into a supportive and well-resourced environment. An immediate start is available to allow for a smooth transition.
While the practice is mixed, this role can be tailored to a predominantly or fully equine caseload depending on your interests and experience.
The Practice
This is a family-owned, independent practice with two purpose-built clinics located in the Scenic Rim. Both sites are well-equipped with modern facilities, allowing for a high standard of patient care across all species.
The team consists of 8 veterinarians with a strong collaborative culture and excellent support from experienced nursing staff. The practice maintains close relationships with visiting specialists and referral hospitals, ensuring comprehensive care for patients.

The Role
- Focus on equine medicine and surgery, with flexibility depending on your interests
- Routine and advanced case workups
- Preventative care and client education
- Emergency and ambulatory services as required
- Opportunity to develop and shape the equine offering within the practice
What We’re Looking For
- Ideally 2+ years’ experience in equine practice
- Strong clinical skills and confidence in handling a varied equine caseload
- Excellent communication and client relationship skills
- A proactive and team-oriented approach
- Interest in long-term career progression, including partnership
